Nola Vaughn Henderson Aistrop, 90, of Salisbury, died February 16th, 2016 after being in declining health for several years.
Ms. Nola was born June 5th, 1925 in Plasterco, Virginia, to the late James Custer Henderson and Vada Verna Sykes Miller. She owned and operated restaurants before retiring and lived in Goshen, Indiana before moving to North Carolina in 1950.
In addition to her parents, Nola is preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Aistrop; sister Virginia Aistrop and two brothers, Oliver Barton and Vernon Barton.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen Mahler and Kenneth Aistrop, both of Salisbury, NC; two daughters, Deborah Ramsey of Lexington, NC and Roberta Aistrop of Granite Quarry, NC; and a sister Thelma Thomas of Bristol, TN. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service for friends and family held at a later date by the Holston River in Virginia.
